Change

This isn't a positive post so if you are depressed or in a great mood, please dont read!
It makes me sick seeing how lost people are today.  It's as if people dont care about their future any more.  This instant gratification generation saddens me.  Yesterday this  kid that I became close to while subing shocked me by saying he didn't get to walk at graduation due to his ignorance at prom!  Said he got drunk and acted a fool.  Today I found out that someone close to me is expecting a baby...just graduated high school...this is the second young person in this family that has dealt with this issue.  The problem that I see is they dont care about the long road. Parenting is about being a friend instead of an authority figure.... The fast life is the way to go it seems...lets not worry about tomorrow, lets have as much fun today as we can...It makes sense really that way we can live off of the government or below the poverty level due to the fact that instead of buckling down and taking care of business NOW so that they can enjoy a future full of joy and empty of stress...My heart is sad today because I know that everyone has the potiental to do whatever they want as long as they sacrifice a little in order to achieve greatness later...I truly hope that the lessons I am teaching my girls sink in so that they learn the value of hard work...Only God knows the future and I truly hope that He sends others into the lives of the ones I love to restore their potential and allow them to live an abundant life (john 10:10)
