Feel the burn ( and not in a good way.)
Running amazes me. One day you can feel great and run until your legs fall off and then the next it hurts so bad that you swear to never do it again. That was my week. Saturday I planned to do a long run in preparation for the half marathon on May 1st. I was going to do an easy hour and call it a day. It didn't work out as planned. Fifteen minutes into the run, I became so cotton mouthed that I had to run inside and get some water. I made it a few more laps and at 30 minutes threw in the towel. My diet has been clean, I have been drinking tons of water, but I was D U N done. Then yesterday at work I hit up the ole treadmill for a short run since I didn't have running shorts on, and felt great. Ended up running 80 minutes and could have kept going. It's strange, my diet sucked this week and I didn't feel like running at all. The biggest negative to my longer run yesterday was the lack of running shorts. I am so shaffed (sp?) today that it hurts to walk. It burns so bad! I am going to buy some butt paste today and keep it here at work. Running reminds me that even when you dont feel like accomplishing a task, your mind can over come and push you through.
